Process Principle & Advantages

CNC drilling is controlled by a G-code program that positions the spindle and feeds the drill at defined depths, speeds, and feed rates. Compared to manual drilling, this delivers hole location accuracy to ±0.01 mm and consistent depth control on blind holes — neither achievable by hand. For fixture plates, structural frames, and engine blocks, CNC drilling is the only practical way to hold position and size tolerances across dozens to hundreds of features on a single part.

Tolerance & Quality Control

Our quality system is run by an experienced QC team that tracks each job through four checkpoints: incoming material inspection, first-article confirmation (FAI), in-process sampling, and final outgoing inspection (OQC). Nothing ships without passing all four.

On the measurement side, we run CMM coordinate measurement, hardness testing, surface roughness gauging, and optical projection — and we issue dimensional reports, CMM reports, and full-inspection records on request.

Tolerances are held to ±0.005–0.01 mm across standard CNC work; tighter specs can be discussed at the quoting stage. We also support customer-defined acceptance criteria and can build a custom inspection plan around your drawings.

How a Drilling Project Works

Drawing Submission

Upload 2D drawings with hole callouts (diameter, depth, thread spec, position tolerance) and 3D model. Flag any deep-hole features or tight position requirements for early engineering review.

Tooling & Process Plan

We select drill type, tooling (HSS, carbide, TiAlN-coated), coolant strategy, and G-code canned cycles based on material and hole specifications.

First Article

Run first-off part, measure all hole positions with CMM, check thread gauges, confirm depths and surface condition.

Production Run

Execute in batch with in-process sampling at defined intervals.

Final Inspection

Full CMM for critical parts; attribute gauging for threaded holes (go/no-go); visual inspection for burrs and surface condition.

Packaging & Delivery

Thread-protected and cleaned; parts shipped in appropriate packaging to prevent hole damage in transit.
